1. Scope
In general, Customer can visit the Website without giving any personal information about his-/herself. Customer may choose to give Provider personal information (e.g. name, e-mail address, etc.), for example, if Customer orders a product or selects to receive a newsletter. Provider intends to let Customer know how it will use such information.
This Data Privacy statement is an integral part of the legal terms posted on the Website and uses the same definitions. These terms may be revised by updating this posting.
2. Personal Information
If Customer accesses and uses the features of the Website, Provider will any information provided by Customer to fulfil Customers request or order. Certain information is mandatory for the fulfilment of the Customers request or order and is kept to a minimum. Other information is optional and used for improvement of products and services or for marketing purposes. From time to time, information provided by Customer the Website may be combined with information from other sources, such as information validating Customers address or other available information. This is to help maintain the accuracy of the information and quality of products and customer service.
3. Customer Correspondence
If Customer orders or sends information, including e-mails, Provider retains such information in its records. If permitted or required by law, Provider may, over time, delete these records.
The Customer acknowledges that e-mail correspondence is generally not secure.
4. Online Advertisement
The Website does not provide online advertisement in banners. Therefore no open or hidden information is deliberately provided to (online) advertisement agencies.
However, online advertisement might be provided on hyperlinked websites.
5. Security and Quality
Customer information will not be shared with, or sold to, third parties, unless required by mandatory law. Provider intends to protect Customers personal information and to maintain its quality. Appropriate measures, such as, transactions via secure lines (SSL technology) and protected storage areas, are implemented by Provider or third parties, if appropriate.
6. Cookies
Cookies are small files of data that reside on Customers computer and allow to (re-) recognize Customers web browser. On occasion, non-identifiable information (e.g. domain tracking or measurement of visitor activities) is collected on the Website to help provide better customer service and to understand trends and patterns. If Customers do not want his/her transaction details used in this manner, Customer can disable the cookie function or set the web browser to notify Customer before a cookie is stored on his/her computer.
7. Storage of Information
Personal information that Customer provides to Provider is logged and saved on the Servers. Personal information may be stored on the Servers in Switzerland and abroad. The Customer acknowledges that data protection in foreign countries might be less stringent than under Swiss data protection law. The Customer agrees to his/her information being transferred and stored on such foreign Servers.
8. Notifications of Changes
This privacy statement was last updated in August 2010. It may be revised over time as new features may be added to the Website or customers' suggestions might be incorporated. If use or disclosure of Customers personal information will be materially different from that stated at the time Customer provide such information, Customer will have a choice as to whether or not Customers information may be used or disclosed in this new manner. Whenever this privacy statement changes materially, a notification will be posted on the Website for one (1) month.
9. Information Request
Customer may at any time submit enquiries about his/her personal information or concerns regarding this Data Privacy statement to information_caroline-ronzani.com. Before answering to Customers request within an appropriate timeframe, however, Customer might be asked to verify his/her identity and to provide other details for security reasons.
